Cousins The cousins were all standing on the flat bed milk truck that belonged to our grandfather. One cousin was told if she blew bubbles from bubble gum, boys wouldn't
kiss her. She blew bubbles all weekend. I don't know who she thought would kiss her. (2009)

Country Girl This is one of the three dairy cows I raised and showed at the fair as a 4-H project.
I am wearing a WWII leather airforce jacket that was owned by my uncle. I was the only neice or
nephew that it would fit when he out grew it. I wore it completely out. It was a great jacket. I sold
this cow, Maple Water Queen Hope, that I won for having the best dairy project, to go to school.
When friends talk about winning scholarships, I say, "I won a cow". It always gets a laugh. (2009)
